Sports Nut

Yesterday I picked a batting tee and a couple of street hockey pucks for Andrew. The batting tee is little beyond him at this point although he can knock the ball off with the bat and even set the ball on the tee once in a while. A lighter weight wiffle bat might help, his oversized "nerf" style foam covered bat is actually kind of heavy for him.

Hockey might have to wait also... did not find a kiddy stick so just cut down a full size. He whacked around a little but did not get the concept of hitting the puck or a ball. Oh well!

We hit the park and he showed off his sliding skills going down the big tornado slide all by himself (which is new within the past week or so) and scaring the heck out of me by pretending to go off the open side once... I am now climbing up to the top with him each & every time!

He also watched the little tykes play tball from behind the backstop and also from Dad's shoulders... otherwise the temptation to run onto the field was just too much! Daycare pals Sam & Luther were there... Sam in the game and Luther playing catch with a buddy next to the diamond.

Still having a blast zooming the hot wheels down the track which he did until bed time at which time Mom said "OK, let's go to bed!" and Andy responded with a very emphatic shake of his little head "NO!"
